Job Summary
Williams Tank Lines Inc is seeking a F/T Experienced Diesel Repair Technicians to join our team. We are one of the largest for hire bulk petroleum carriers in California and NV. The company operates over 150 Trucks and Trailers out of 9 different locations in California and 2 locations in Nevada.
Preventative Maintenance Technician Job Description and Requirements:
- PM Service experience.
- Knowledge of service requirements.
- Perform all aspects of tire and wheel maintenance.
- Proper and safe use of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license.
- Certification from an accredited Diesel School may substitute for years of experience.
- Minimum of high school education completed is desirable but not mandatory in all applicants.
- Class A license with TX and Hazmat endorsements are an asset but not required.
- Monday through Friday shop schedule, Saturday may be required.
Diesel Repair Technician Job Description and Requirements:
- This position is primarily responsible for maintenance and repairs on heavy duty Class 7 & 8 Tanker Trucks and Trailers.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have experience with R/R engine components related to DPF systems, Transmission, A/C systems, Drive Train, Electrical, ABS, Suspension/Steering and Tune Up.
- Must be able to perform all aspects of tire and wheel maintenance.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license during the course of employment.
- Must be able to climb on and around diesel truck equipment.
- Tanker repair and Vapor testing a Plus.
- Tank remounts to new chassis and or fabrication highly desired.
- PM Service and DOT regulation knowledge pertaining to OOS (out of service) Criteria.
- Must be able to perform all aspects of tire and wheel maintenance.
- Good computer skills are a plus as we are paperless.
- Afterhours road calls and occasional travel may be required.
Specialized Skills Required
- Must be able to climb on and around diesel truck equipment.
- Must be able to sit, kneel, walk, lift (up to 50 pounds) and carry for extended periods.
Job Conditions/Work Environment
- Monday through Friday (may require working every other saturday)
- Road call may be required
- Occasional travel to outside terminal locations may be required
Education/Work Experience
- 4 years Journeyman/Equipment Maintenance experience required
- High School diploma required
